The Good: Our motto is boats, luggage and skis off the top and bikes off the back. Roof mounted baskets, bags and boxes just make sense. We sell over 5,000 a year through our stores. Most of the baskets, boxes and bags can attach directly to your factory crossbars. If you do not have a factory system, no problem, we can get a base rack on your bare roof and have you on your way in no time! Great gear carrying option. These items boxes are available for rent at all Rack N Road locations.
 
The Bad: If you have a tall vehicle or a hard time lifting items to your roof a rear mounted luggage carrier will be your best option.

The Good: If your vehicle is a little to tall or you own an RV, this is a great, easy loading option for the back of most vehicles equipped with a trailer hitch. If you do not own a trailer hitch, Rack N Road can install one for you. Like the roof mounted carriers, they are great for carrying gear. Do not worry about low garage doors, you will not have a problem pulling in. The only problem now will be is your garage long enough!
 
The Bad: If you are looking to tow something at the same time, this option creates a problem. Your hitch is already used. A slightly more expensive than your average roof mounted cargo box.
 
The Bottom Line: Can not beat it for the family that does not like reaching to the top of their vehicle to load their gear. Easy access from the rear. Price range $79 - $495
