|
| | Price Range $30 - $300 | | Custom Installed Roof Racks | | |
The Good: When everyone tells you your vehicle has no fit, chances are great that we can find an application that will work for you. Custom applications allow you to install the rack where you want it vs. where the off the shelf fit guides want you to install it. These options are substantially less expensive than the dealer options. Choose between track, brackets or landing pads from Yakima and Thule. Highly recommended with any 2-door vehicle, any vehicle without a factory roof rack and camper shells.

The Bad: More expensive than a universal type of removable base rack system. Requires a professional to install it, but that can work to your advantage in the long run. Tracks, brackets and pads are not removable for the most part.

The Bottom Line: It does not get any better looking than this. Rack N Road has installed over 30,000 tracks, brackets and pads.
| | | | | | | | | | | Price Range $80-$250 | | Upgrade Your Factory Roof Rack Options | | |
The Good: Turns your limited use factory roof rack into a multi-use, load carrying machine. An inexpensive option and can be installed within 30 -60 minutes. Allows you double your capacity of bike, boat, luggage, ski accessories and gear vs. what your factory crossbars offer. Once the base Yakima, Thule or Inno rack is installed to your factory rack, choose between dozens of accessories that will attach directly to the base rack. The rack system removes easily and in most cases it can be transferred to your next vehicle.

The Bad: The only bad part is that you will be frustrated you purchased that factory roof rack from the dealer only to realize how limited your options are.

The Bottom Line: If you have a factory rack and you want to maximize your load carrying space, attach 4 towers and 2 bars and bring it all.
| | | | | | | | | | | Price Range $80 - $300 | | Roof Racks For Naked Roofs | | |
The Good: Great for the customer that wants to carry it all and they offer a semi-custom fit for most vehicles. Once a base rack is installed (approx. 1 hour install) it allows you to add multi-use items to these racks. Dozens of accessories are available that attach to the rack systems. Most systems have locking features and your rack accessories can be transferred from vehicle to vehicle.

The Bad: Picking the right system can be tricky. Yakima and Thule offer their on-line configurators but we suggest you call in this option to make sure you get it right the first time.

The Bottom Line: Transferable from vehicle to vehicle at a small cost, no custom drilling, easy on and off. The amount of accessories you can attach are endless!
| | | | | | | | | | | Price Range $190 - $600 | | Truck Racks | | |
The Good: Inexpensive truck rack options that will allow you to be an official project oriented recreationalist. They install in minutes, require no drilling and are great for carrying light loads. You can also attach a full line of accessories to your truck rack.

The Bad: If you are looking to carry over 400lbs., keep moving onto our truck section on the left navbar.

The Bottom Line: You can not beat the ease of use or the price. Perfect for the weekend warrior.
| | | | | | | | | | | Price Range $10 - $200 | | Rack Accessories and Components | | |
The Good: Rack N Road carries every rack accessory large or small. We are the only authorized service and parts center for both Yakima and Thule in the world!

The Bad: Not so easy to figure out exactly what accessories you will need. We suggest calling in if you are unclear. We sometimes can split systems and also offer used accessories.

The Bottom Line: Unless you know exactly what you are looking for, save yourself some time and money and call in your order.
