| Write Your Road Trip Story | | Travelers: Greg Bauer | | Origin: Roseville- sacramento Destination: Salt Lake city My family and I own Rack N Road, a couple of times a year we make a Road Trip out to some of our car rack, hitch, and trailer stores. This year we towed a smaller racing trailer out to Salt Lake and decided to take our Motorcycles. When we were younger, we use to take our mountain bikes. It is amazing how much more power these dirt bikes have vs. our legs.... Anyways, this was one of three stops we made. First ride was at Aldercreek in Lake Tahoe. Great single track motorcycle ride. Very difficult but absolutely beautiful overlooking the valley once you hit the top of the mountain. Our second stop was at Moon Rock outside of Reno. This is the picture you see. This was my favorite stop due to the different terrain it offered. They do quite a bit of trial riding on the rocks.
We had the mountains to ourselves. Pictured is one of our many trucks and one of three trailers we use in the company. we talked our father into going and it was quite a male bonding experience. If you type into Google, you find driving directions to this destination. Our third stop was on the way back from Salt lake at a place called 5 mile. It was 45 minutes south of Salt lake and again was well worth the diversion. Moab we left for another trip. Product of choiceProduct of choiceOn the way back we towed one of our galvanized 2-bike motorcycle trailers. It worked great. Easy to load the bike, towed great. The part number was the Thule 2200.
| | | | | | | | | | | | Travelers: Travis Tucker | | Origin: Antelope, CA Destination: Brainerd, MN Objective: Family reunion at a lake house in Minnesota.
Travelers: Two boys, two parents, and two grandparents.
Mode of Transport: Chevy Suburban with Yakima Rocketbox.
Route: East to Colorado, North to Minnesota, West through South Dakota and Wyoming. 5000 miles driven.
Quantity of Stuff: Too much to list.
With grandparents along for the ride, we started our journey east to Colorado, then north to the land of 10,000 lakes. Met lots of cousins and fished nearly every day at the lake.
Best moment was seeing my son catch a Northern Pike larger and meaner than his uncle from Hawaii.
Worst moment was arriving at cousin's hunting lodge, aka the Taj Mahal, outside Devil's Tower to find the refrigerator hot and many pounds of once fresh meat rotting and smelling something aweful.
Number of Memories: Thousands!

| | | | | | | | | | | | Travelers: dan himes | | Origin: citrus heights ca Destination: roseville ca what made my story so good is it is the truth, took my kids and my two step kids too lake almanor, none of the kids wanted too go, but we were visiting my wifes parents, one kid throwing a fit before we even got in car, the other kids just watching, the van was packed full of suit cases, with hardly no room for anything 5 hours of hell kids had too stop every 30 minutes too use bathroom, then there were the boys who got into a fight, my son cracked my stepson in the head, well after that the trip went alittle smooter towards the end, wel thats the most memorable part of trip, lake almanor was beatifull, and i wil never goe there again, the morall of the story lave the ungreatfull kids at home, were they belong, but i need 100.00 gift card too pay for my rack rental , on march 28, so i hope i win Product of choicerack rental
| | | | | | | | | | | | Travelers: Jodee Thompson | | Origin: Hanover, NH Destination: Sacramento, CA Driving home from college is usually a rite of passage. But when my brother agreed to come along for the ride, we knew it was a chance in a lifetime to see the country on the road. We packed my Subaru to the brim, stuffed my rooftop cargo box with sleeping bags and other luggage, strapped my bike on the back, and we were off! Over the next 4000 miles we visited 18 states, 14 friends and family members, and a few too many burger joints. You learn a lot about yourself during the four years away at college, but there is something to be said about a two-week cross-country summer road trip—it was an unforgettable learning experience to say the least! Product of choiceThule Atlantis 1600-awesome. It was quiet, easy to use; we locked our stuff in it overnight. We also had a hitch installed to carry our bikes on the BVG Back Road Pro. Very secure and easy to use, after the first 1,000 miles we knew it would go the distance. We definitely wouldn’t have gotten everything home without these three products!
