FEATURES
- Simple push button design & pivoting axle allows one person to easily load bicycle.
- Internal bearings and headset technology make for silky smooth movement when pivoting the bike up or down from the rack.
- Telescopic tray design allows for both tandem bikes AND single seaters too. Also works with recumbents.
- Attaches directly to both Thule Racks base rack square loadbars and Yakima base rack round bars. Please note this carrier is not compatible with factory rack crossbars.
- The Rocky Mounts Offset Bracket (sold separately; see accessories below) may be required to use the pivoting function of the Tandem R4 on certain vehicle rack set-ups because the front chainring of the tandem bike can hit the window or doorframe while loading the tandem. See accessories below for complete details.
- Universally compatible with any bike with a wheelbase from 35" to 78".
- The Rocky Mounts R4 is constructed with the strongest non-corrosive, ovalized, heat treated 6061 aluminum.
- 9mm quick release skewer secures the fork to the rack, works with both road tandems and mountain bike tandems.
- For security, we recommend locking your bicycle to the bike rack using a cable lock (sold separately; see accessories below).

Description
The latest Tandem Mount, the R4 is, bar none, the best. Our bike rack for the two-seater, allows the front wheel to be removed and mounted onto the fork mount from the ground! Once the fork is clamped in, lift the rear wheel onto the tray, and voila! This way you will only have to lift half the bike's weight at one time! |

This was such an easy rack to use with my tandem bike. It was easy to load, lock and go. I can tell by the construction of it that this bike rack will last me for a while. Thanks Thule for a bike rack that is kind to the hands.
