If your vehicle has a hitch capacities, you have the option of stowing your gear at the rear of your vehicle. More convenient to load and better for overhead clearance, storing gear at the rear is a great way to get from here to there.

Receiver Hitch Mounted Cargo Boxes

The Good: If your vehicle is a little to tall and/or you own an RV, this is a great easy loading option for the back of most vehicles with a trailer hitch. If you do not own a hitch, Rack N Road can install one for you. Like the roof mounted cargo boxes these are lockable, secure and easy to install. They also have the ability to swing away completely for tailgate access. Do not worry about low garage doors, you will not have a problem pulling in. The only problem now will be is your garage long enough!

The Bad: If you are looking to tow something at the same time, this option creates a problem. Your hitch is already used. Little pricier than your average roof mounted cargo box.

The Bottom Line: Can not beat it for the family that does not like reaching to the top of their vehicle to load their gear. Great security, easy access from the rear.

Receiver Hitch Mounted Luggage Baskets-Carriers

The Good: Great option for hunters (you get the idea), and all other outdoor enthusiasts. Plugs right into your hitch, snug it load it and happy trails. Rack N Road has tested hundreds of baskets and we chose to only carry the best.

The Bad: If you are looking to tow something at the same time, this option creates a problem. Your hitch is already used. Gear carried in the rear is more susceptible to road dirt vs. an enclosed box.

The Bottom Line: Can not beat the price for load carrying off the rear if you already have a hitch. If you do not, Rack N Road will take care of that for you.
