I just wanted to write Rack N Road to tell them how useful they're website was. It was very easy to find the exact system to fit my Land Rover LR3. I didn't know about the setup or attachments until I started piecing it together on the site. I could add racks, bars, kayak mounts and more to see how it would look and it would automatically add up the price of each product. Another very convenient part of buying my rack was how quick it shipped to my house. Just a few days later and it was on my truck and I was headed to the pass to go snowboarding. Overall I saved about $40 compared to going to GI Joe's in Issaquah (sucks for them).

I was so glad to find a product that fit my particular vehicle, a 1999 BMW 5 series, since I'm an avid bicyclist and have to travel to join my cycle group as a volunteer coach for Team in Training, 2007 summer cycle team. I would recommend Rack N Road to anyone. Because I like to try to support local businesses, I appreciated that they gave me listings for local stores, but their online prices and service made it preferable for me to just order from them directly.
Although it had to come through a cargo service, the Yakima Skybox we ordered came promptly and even with the shipping charges was less expensive than I had anticipated.
Installation was easy and the extra room makes it possible for us to carry our snowboards and our baby and our dogs to the mountain. There is plenty of room up top, which means we can now fit everything we need into the car. The dimension of the rack makes it a perfect fit on our Subaru.
Overall, every part of our experience with Rack N Road was positive. It was easy to find what we wanted on their well-organized website, the product came quickly, and we are completely satisfied. Rack N Road is one of those companies that makes you glad for internet shopping!

I had really great service from my orders from Rack N Road. A white water friend gave me the website and I was able to order my Thule roof rack with no trouble. Your website was a breeze to use. I received my rack in four days and was able to track the shipment on-line which was great. On my second order, your customer service guy called me just to confirm a minor detail before he shipped it out, which I thought was great service.

I recently ordered a Thule Terrapin cargo carrier from Rack N Road.
Two days before I was to leave with my wife and three children for our first ski trip to Colorado, I discovered the carrier was shipped to me without the key required to open and lock the carrier. I went back to the web site and found a telephone number and made what I expected would be the first of several calls to try to remedy the situation. To my utter surprise, an actual person answered the phone on the second ring.
That same person listened carefully to my predicament, and then walked me through a thorough search of places the key might have been attached in the shipping process. After that effort failed to produce a key, he asked me for the key code, explaining how and where I would find it.
After a brief wait, he told me they had a replacement key and graciously offered to overnight it to me at no charge. The end result was a marvelous family trip. The Thule Terrapin carrier is a workhorse, and the customer service I received was first class. Rack N Road earned my customer loyalty for years to come.

I found your company through a link on the Thule website. Seemingly, everyone is running out of personal storage space, me included. Moreover, with this in mind and the continuation of getting back to nature, e.g., skiing, hiking, biking, and taking our dogs everywhere we go, it was with great pleasure that I found your website. Long story short, this winter I was looking for a possible rental or purchase of a roof rack storage system for our skis and snowboard. Your company and The Hitch Corner in Littleton, CO were the only ones that came up for rentals. In searching both websites your company seems to be far above theirs and any other site that appeared remotely related to my search. Although we have REI located in the Denver area, Rack N Road seems to have that family owned customer oriented feel to it. I am writing to let you know about the exceptional customer service that I received from Noah Larson and his team (Kyle and David) at the Rack n Road retail store located in Walnut Creek, California.
Brief background...I was working with Noah to install a Yakima rack on my Volkswagen New Beetle. The rack was a replacement for my rack that was previously damaged as a result of the rack falling from my vehicle with bikes attached. The short story is that Yakima denied any liability for the loss and, as a goodwill gesture, they agreed to provide me with a replacement rack. When Noah and his team attempted to install the rack, they encountered fit problems, which he attempted to resolve with Yakima personnel to no avail. Noah was very mindful of my on-going frustration with this situation and, in particular Yakima personnel and its products. So after many failed attempts to get support from Yakima to assist with this install and my concerns about the improper fit issue, Noah agreed to swap out my Yakima rack with the Thule rack, which is a better fit for my vehicle, at no additional cost to me.
So, with Noah and his team's help, I now have a rack installed on my Beetle...in spite of Yakima's lack of support and responsiveness to this issue. I am very appreciated of the extra time and effort Noah offered to ensure that I left Rack n Road as a satisfied customer...who is willing to speak well of your company and the service I received.

On May 19, 2007 I ordered a roof rack carrier to transport my small boat on the top of our Toyota Highlander.
It was very easy to place the order on line and I was easily able to select the correct parts that were needed for my particular automobile.

I want to brag about the excellent customer service I received at your store in San Rafael, and especially the expert advice and service I received from Pam DeLuca. All to often management only hears from dissatisfied customers, never the satisfied ones, so I wanted to send you this note.
When I went into the San Rafael store, I was a little apprehensive because I knew what I wanted (duel hitch, trailer & bike rack), but didn't have a clue about what style, brand, or even if it would all work together; And I didn't have a lot of time to spend as I was shopping on my lunch hour. All my concerns melted away instantly when I met with Pam. She was very knowledgeable about the products; described how they would work together; drew up a list of items; and provided a quote all in a few minutes. I felt so confident in what she suggested that I paid for it right there and then, and set up an installation appointment. I don't normally make snap decisions when purchasing a couple thousand dollars worth of merchandise (ask my wife), but in this instance, it was easy to do.
We're recently back from our first trip with the new equipment, and it was a huge success. I can't tell you how many times fellow campers came by to check out my set up (i.e. duel hitch, bike rack, hard shell trailer). They were quite impressed.
Oh - and the installation staff (or person) was great as well. He took the time to explain everything to me, and it seems to have all been installed very well.
I will recommend (actually already have) Rack 'N Road to all my friends and family.
