my only days off from work are during the week. everytime i pack up and start driving to the mountains i have to get on the freeway with the rest of the working world. after a couple of minutes in traffic the road usaually clears up. its always great seeing the look on poeples' faces as they look at my rack with my board knowing that they get to be stuck at work while i get to go board all day.

Destination: Scott Tinley's Adventures, San Luis Obisbo, California

My pregnant wife, sister-in-law, and I packed up and headed north to compete in the Scott Tinley's Adventures Triathlon (yes, even my wife competed). Five hours later, we set up camp, built a fire and relaxed. The following day, we all swam, biked and ran. Everyone finished. It was a wonderful day and a great weekend. See you next year, Shawn.

Travelers: Drexel Agner
  Origin: San Diego, CA
Destination: La Paz, Mexico

My wife and I drove the Baja in her Honda CRV and my 1991 Honda Civic. We were moving to Mexico with our two kids 9 and 11 years old plus a German Shorthair. The weather was nice and being March the wild flowers were out. The dessert was a blaze of color most of the way. So many sizes and types of Cacti. It was difficult to drive and look at the scenery as there are no shoulders on the road and the trucks take the corners wide. Three days and several checkpoints later we arrived in La Paz and our new home.
