I lost my Thule Mountaineer keys and was in a panic because I had to get into it for a trip TODAY! I called and spoke with James (Jimmy) Justice. They had spare keys in-stock that I needed as I waited on the phone for Jimmy to check inventory - Voila! Not only did they have the key in-stock, the owner gave me 3 sets for FREE! I immediately went to their clean, well organized store and Jimmy had the keys in a bag with my name on it waiting for me - Awesome service and it's great to see this kind of customer service focus, especially in these times. You can by quality products everywhere, but it's this kind of customer focus that differentiates this business from others! I will not only refer them, they also have a lifetime customer now! Good Karma does exist! Thanks Jimmy and Rack N road! They know about the "Secret" and may their business thrive!
I went in there not knowing much about Yakima racks. I left a little bit later knowing all i needed to know plus more and a guy named Eric helped me out and took me step by step of what i need and how it installs. I had to get the rack somewhere else but Eric showed me the way and helped me out a bunch. In the future if i need anything thats rack related or any of the other goodies they have, Rack N Road will be my first stop. If you need anything rack related go to rack n road( i highly suggest you do) definitely look for a guy named Eric and he'll help you a bunch!
I recently purchased a used hitch mounted bike carrier (Sportworks...they were purchased by Thule) and was looking for a locking hitch pin. I came to Rack N Road as they carry the full line of Thule equipment. Unfortunately, when Thule bought Sportworks they converted the locking mechanism and no longer carry the one for my rack. The staff was great at trying to help me and even gave me an old lock, free of charge, to see if it might work. In addition to Thule they carry a full line of Yakima racks as well. I purchased a Yakima car-top box there a few years back and have been very pleased. The guys at Rack N Road have always been so helpful on my past visits, and my latest trip was no exception.

| Write Your Road Trip Story | | Travelers: marc blakeney | | Origin: Los Gatos Destination: Zion NP / Gooseberry Mesa Our window of opportunity was narrow. We knew the weather would be ideal and the crowds non-existent. It was the right time of year to hit Gooseberry Mesa for mountain biking and Zion National Park for hiking the narrows. More importantly, our four month old baby was the right age for travelling - old enough to sleep for extended periods and young enough to not yet be mobile (and happy sitting in the car for several hours). The only problem was gear - lots of gear. BOB and the Chariot baby carriers, two bikes, and a ton of other stuff we thought we'd need. The solution - Thule T2 bike rack and Yakima Skybox. With all the gear loaded, we thoroughly enjoyed a week of backcountry camping and biking on Gooseberry Mesa with our baby boy! Product of choiceThule T2

| | | | | | | | | | | | Travelers: Jim Thorn | | Origin: santa clara Destination: yellowstone/ grand tetons We loaded two tents, five sleeping bags, pads and camping chairs into our Thule Mountaineer and headed to Jenny Lake at the Grand Tetons. On our first day we saw a pair of brown bears in the fields off the road. Everyone had pulled over to take pictures and some climbed up on top of their cars to get a better view. At about three in the morning those same two bears came through the campsite and brushed up against our tent. We stayed awake listening to them grunting and poking around. Fortunately everything was stowed away and they didn't even bother the stuff we had in the Mountaineer. We ventured out when the sun came up and heard that the bears were seen eating a deer not far from our campsite. The kids were quite frightened to spend any more time in the area, and eventually they gained a new respect, if not a more comfortable attitude, for the bears when we were treated to an Indian ceremony at Teton Village.
